Snowboarding indoors and out

It’s winter now, and many States are starting to experience their first snows. So I thought it apporpriate to discuss snowbording. Sort of.

Now I’m not a snowborder. I find it fascinating to watch. How some of the tricks I’ve seen get done I can’t imagine. I’m sure with my bad leg I’d wind up in a snowbank or worse. But there is an option for me.

The Wii will have a new game out shortly. Snowbording Riot. And this takes snowboarding to a new level. A level that even old slow guys like me can do. That is the game adds in weapons to a downhill race.

You can play against up to 4 people, and for a bit of realism you can ride on the Wii Balance Board. But besides beating your opponents down the mountain in style there is the option of knocking a showboat back a bit. A mine and a turbo boost would do that nicely I think. But I do like my action oriented games.

Of course the sneaky pro could always use invisibility to try to get around my dastardly schemes of digital dominence. But if you did, then no one would be able to see the customized gear that you inevitiably spend game credits on for winning races. So stay visible to show off that new pair of sunglasses as I lock in my rocket.

Obviously this is only worthwhile if you can’t, or won’t get out and really snowboard. And truth be told there is never anything better than the actual doing.

So for those that prefer the real thing here is a helpful tip
