Seems a simple question. I mean if Snoop Dogg, or Akon, or Mr. Denzel Washington endorsed Senator McCain, Senator Clinton, or Mr. John Edwards or Mr. Rudy Giuliani, would that change your opinion of the candidate? Why?
Also let me ask this. Have there been any endorsements by a celebrity or entertainer that changed and/or confirmed your choice of candidate?
Let me hear your voice.

I have never paid much attention to Celeb's endorsements, because they live in a make believe world. Most politicans are like Pimps and Preachers.
Any thing they say is for their benefit, so I don't usually waste my time. Cae in point, A minister in Texas attempted to protest the (no_talent) DL Hughley appearence and last week, he showed up on the TJMS and that sad crew spent the most of his alloted time talking about how old the man was. Not once did anyone ask DH why he made the statement.
My take is if any of the big 3P's endorse a candidate, I totally disregard that endorsement, but not necessarily the candidate.
Thank You Loo Oates for commenting.
I read through your comment a couple of times, but I believe I understand you points. If I misunderstand please forgive me. I think your passion to comment got the best of you in your typing. It happens to us all from time to time.
I can see how you compare politicians to those that sway the emotions and actions of people, not always to their benefit. The comparision is definitely accurate on many levels.
I too question the importance of celebrity and entertainer endorsements. But as a friend of mine commented yesterday, "Oprah can move anything. Her die hard fans will do whatever she advises."
I do need to ask a few question though, what is TJMS? Who showed up? Which man was the 'old man' they discussed? And lastly, without disrespect, how does this connect to endorsing Presidential candidates?
Also I notice the site your name links to appears to be pro-Democrat. Why nothing pro-Republican? Just wondering.
You already know that celebrity endorsements carry a lot of weight. To deny that type of star power means you are not tuned in politically. Hollywaood has a long history of politcal influence. I think for the presidential race the fact that someone like Oprah is raising money for a candidate is a big deal because she has appeal to everyday people who may or may not pay that much attention to politics. For me, a celebrity that I admire and respect would make me pause and think twice about a decision. Ultimately I go my own way. As someone who was elected twice to local office, it is a bon to have respected and admired endorsors. Everybody loves a winner whether it's politics or sports.
